Mobility
Mobility Service Dogs serve as invaluable helpers in the home and in public for individuals with congenital conditions, neuromuscular disorders, vertigo and impaired balance, brain and spinal cord injuries and other physically limiting conditions.
Mobility Service Dogs can be trained to:

* Open and close doors;
* Retrieve items including a phone, medication, a cane, a brace , items from the refrigerator, etc.;
*Assist with dressing, laundry and other activities of daily living;
* Turn on/off lights;
* Press automatic door openers, elevator buttons or an alert button;
* Stand and brace for stability while walking and going up and down stairs;
* Get someone to help;
* Carry items; and
* Provide forward momentum when walking or in a wheelchair.
