Facility Dogs are extensively trained to
perform specific skills that support the community in which they work.

Facility Dogs are placed with working professionals in counseling offices, schools, funeral homes and other outreach ministries, social service
providers, courthouses and medical, physical therapy and mental health facilities.
​
Facility Dogs are trained to the same
degree as service dogs placed with individuals.
​
A Facility Dog:
​
* Resides with the primary handler. The primary handler is responsible for handling and care for the dog.
* Both the primary handler and any other person designated to work with the Facility Dog must be trained to work with the dog and pass a public access test.
